My aim is to make the design and construction process as straight forward and enjoyable as possible. I will be on hand to walk you through the entire project. Full or partial service is available to suit you and your project needs.
1. INITIAL MEETING
At the very beginning of a project I will organise an initial consultation, free of charge, where I can visit the site (your home) and run through your brief, budget, and requirements.
Following this meeting, I will put together a fee proposal setting out my understanding of your brief, additional considerations for the project, my fees for each stage of the project, timescales, and a description of my scope of services.

2. DESIGN PRESENTATION
I will provide you with two or more schemes which I feel responds to your brief. The presentation will be in person and involve sketch plans and elevations, with key spaces modelled in 3D. My main goal is to ensure you understand the spaces that I am creating for you.

3. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT & PLANNING
Once a preferred option is agreed, I can fine tune the design following your feedback. During this stage I will also liaise with a structural engineer and integrate their design and any additional consultant’s information into the scheme.
The design will now be developed enough to be submitted to your local council for planning approval, if required. I will prepare the necessary drawings and forms and submit them to your local council. I will also liaise with your local council on the progress of your application. Once again, my aim is to keep you fully informed.

4. TECHNICAL DESIGN & BUILDING CONTROL APPROVAL
During this stage, the layout and design will be finalised, the specifications for finishes, fixtures and fittings developed and the construction details will be produced. The technical package will consist of all the drawings, schedules and information required for pricing the scheme and for building control approval.
I can help you choose finishes, sanitaryware, appliances, lighting, and ironmongery. I can take you to showrooms and explore options within your budget. I will review contractor’s quotations with you and provide recommendations on how to proceed.

5. CONSTRUCTION
I will be on hand to carry out site visits, issue construction information and answer builder’s queries. I can hold your hand through any on site decisions that will need to be made.
I can also act as contract administrator between you and your contractor, if required.
